What is the Hytale Beta?

The Hytale Beta is an opportunity for gamers who love ARK and Conan to test out the future of both games and help us make them even better! The beta versions are pre-release versions of the game, meaning they might be unstable, incomplete, or broken in some cases. Beta testing intends to identify bugs and flaws in the game so that they can rectify before the game is released.

This way, when you buy the game on release day, you’ll have a much smoother experience. These tests are your first chance to playtest these games and have a direct impact on their development! We will gather your feedback after each round of beta testing to improve the final product as much as possible.

What is included in the beta?

The beta version of Hytale is the entire game but with reduced content. It's primarily a single-player game with certain multiplayer features. The version will include any new content until the beta ends on October 15th. This includes the following core content:

Visual design and art style

The game looks like the images you see here and is not a work in progress.

Gameplay mechanics

All core gameplay features are in the game. Different characters, game items, abilities, and the progression system for each one are part of the game, too.

Interface

The interface is complete and operational.

Level Design

All levels are in the game with different areas and gameplay setups.

 Game balance

 The game is balanced and ready for release.

How to access the beta?

To join the beta, you must have pre-ordered this game. You can choose your platform, get the game, and begin playing during the beta.

When the beta begins, you will receive an email with a link to download and login details. The game will be available for download on PC via Steam (Windows OS) and Mac OS during the beta.

Gameplay and Content

The beta period will allow you to play the game alone or with other players. Playing alone, you will start with a character, some resources, and a desert map to explore. You can explore that map to find caves, outposts, and more. If you choose to play with others, you can join a server and explore the map with up to 16 players. Using your character's powers, you can navigate the map, fight, and interact with other players. The entire list of abilities is provided below.

You can also employ various goods to aid your survival in the game. The beta includes the following items: - Character - You can play with the Warrior or the Mage. - Resources - You start with a Pickaxe, Torch, Wood Axe, Wood Bow, and 2 Arrows. - Map - You can explore the first map, which is a desert area.

Beta Coming Soon

The Hytale Beta is the very first version of Hytale. It has a few bugs, and the code base is incomplete. The goal with this release is to get folks moving quickly, building solutions and solutions-based apps on top of Hytale. This is an invitation to provide comments and participate in the community.
