The 1.19 stable release for DayZ will be out on 18th October across all platforms. But we already have a change log, and the update is up on experimental servers, so we have a good idea of what to expect from these latest additions to DayZ.
Latest DayZ Update
In this blog post, we shed some light on the most noteworthy changes and additions that have been made to the game, along with some major bug fixes. So let’s get right into it!
Newest Additions
The 1.19 update adds new guns, vehicles, military convoys, blowtorches, and what to not to the game; let’s go over every item that has been added.
Weapons
SSG 82 Rifle
A basic long rifle has a scope and can be found in Police Stations.
BK-12 Shotgun
A low-tier spawn weapon with nothing much to it.
BK-12 Shotgun (sawed-off variant)
Sawed of a variant of the BK-12
Vehicles
The Vehicle control in DayZ was not the best; players often had issues with how the vehicles were in the game, but in this new update, the vehicle handling has been drastically changed, and for good. The vehicles had been notorious for not acting like vehicles, but after these recent changes, they work like vehicles; they stick to the ground and don't fly off into space!
If your fuel tank gets damaged now, you can repair it with duct tape or epoxy, which is a welcome addition to the game.
A new handbrake feature has also been added, the braking power of which can be adjusted; also, the vehicles are finally getting a Horn. So get ready to get your ears blasted with Horn spam.
M1025 Multipurpose Vehicle
The M1025 Multipurpose Vehicle is a Humvee; it looks and works the same as a Humvee and is pretty powerful. It even has bulletproof glass. The speed is decent, and thanks to the vehicle changes, the vehicle handling is way better than imagined.
GPS
The GPS will help you accurately identify your location and let your friends know your exact location on the map. The portable map will provide more details if you have a GPS.
Blow Torch
The Blow Torch is a new item that can be used to repair car engines
Glow Pug
A Glow Plug is a heating device used to start diesel engines
Improvised Eye Patch
An eye patch covers one of yoru eyes if you want to go Pirate Mode.
Black Plate Carrier
It is a black carrier plate without any new functionality, so it is a cosmetic addition for those who like to go all-black.
Base Building Change
The pesky swimming exploits have now been fixed; the community had been asking this for years, and it's finally here.
Dynamic Events
Random military convoys, police cars, etc., will now spawn across the map making the game feel more alive.
Player Controls
The player's bow moves like an average human with a ton of weight; you can feel it in the game.
Water Reflections
Water reflections can now be turned on!
Item sounds
The items now have sounds when thrown on a hard surface

Livonia Changes
Livonia saw a lot of change in this new update, especially in the areas that didn’t have much going on. Livonia just feels fleshed out now, thanks to adding new structures such as summer camps, forest camps, and other points of interest!
To the north side of Nadbor, brand-new quarries actions have been added. The quarry will harbor a lot of industrial loot. If you move to the opposite side, that is, to the south of Nadbor, a massive Military Base has been added; this place will be swarming with players as this is where the top secret bunker is located. The same bunker was teased by DayZ on Twitter!
Here’s a list of everything that will be coming to Livonia in the 1.19 update -

Some players were having problems with object placement. This issue has now been resolved.
-
As soon as the suppressor was destroyed and detached from the weapon, it wouldn't display the correct model.
-
Some public address system panels would not start even when batteries were present.
-
In addition to inclination and rolling, other characters in prone were not displayed.
-
Through geometry, 40mm smoke grenades are less likely to clip
-
Bear traps would be significantly less destructive if dead bodies were placed on top of them
-
Indoors, it was impossible to ignite a torch or broom
-
A fireplace would not explode grenades attached to vests
-
Servers may not load if you switch tabs too quickly in the server browser
-
Kitchen timers were not always rendered in improvised explosive devices
-
An improvised explosive could be covered with a garden plot
-
In some cases, it was impossible to disarm a claymore mine
-

-
Even after removing the cooking ware, cooking sounds continued to come from the spot
Apart from these, there have been many more technical changes that we don’t think most players would be interested in, but if you are, you can always check the Patch Notes released by DayZ.
