Unturned first came out at the end of 2013 as a browser game and was designed as the spiritual successor of Dead zone. The game's browser counterpart continued to develop through 2014. On June 17, 2014, a new major game version was available on Steam. Customers who have an account with a premium subscription using the browser version of the game can play the game before the game's official launch into the early-access period on July 7, 2014. The initial version of the game was only for a short time. It was a very successful game since it quickly gained popularity on Steam, requiring numerous network improvements. While the game continued to receive mainline updates, it announced that changes to the network, optimization and other updates would be made available soon under the name of"3.0" Update "Version 3.0".
In September of 2014, on September 25, 2014, the "Black Box" update to the game would end this particular version. It would also launch"3.0" or the "3.0 Update" in the preview version of the game. This updated game version was left in the preview branch until July 7, 2015, to celebrate the first anniversary of the Unturned launch on Steam. The game would then go to early access to celebrate the third time on Steam.
Console version
Unturned was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 12, 2019, and it is also made available for Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility. In collaboration with Cradle Games, the console version was made. The game was released following several months of research and development. The development team for the game has changed numerous times, and the game initially launched under the development part of Fun Labs.
